Mr. Barnett, appointed by Benton County (2019), owns a real estate development, construction, and property management company. He served three terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives where he was chairman of the Committee on Public Transportation, served on the Joint Budget Committee and the Insurance & Commerce Committee.
Mr. Barnett also served on the National Council of State Legislatures Energy Task Force. He is a former member (ten-year term) and chairman of the Arkansas State Highway Commission and former Chairman of the Arkansas State Building Services. Mr. Barnett holds a B.S. in Business from John Brown University. He is a private pilot.
