November 21, 2012 update:

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is currently undergoing two airfield improvement projects; grading and drainage improvements are taking place on the west and east sides of Taxiway B and Runway 16/34 is being reconstructed. The drainage improvements project is anticipated to conclude on January 25, 2012, and the reconstruction project is anticipated to conclude in December 2013.

The Alternate Landing Surface has been marked as Runway 17/35 and is operational as of July 31, 2012. Runway 16/34 and Taxiways F, E (west of Taxiway B only), and C are NOTAM closed and will remain so until further notice. The runway identification numbers are covered with temporary closed runway markers. Lighted X closed runway markers are also being used as work is ongoing and the pavement is not open for use.

Pilots should check the current NOTAMs for the latest information related to airport construction and operations.
